To: All pilots with Airplanes and Time to assist Avi8Cando’s Flying Program

From: Avi8Cando Board of Directors

In 2003 Avi8Cando stopped its flying of the Falcons on Saturday because of insurance concerns. We have resolved this by purchase of a Board of Director’s Liability Insurance for $1,000,000 / $1,000,000 aggregate policy, on an annual basis. This requires the aircraft owner name "Avi8Cando" as an additional insured on their insurance policy. Avemco and other aircraft owner’s insurance policies will add Avia8Cando as an additional insured without additional cost. We are both cross covered for liability issues.

It does require that Avi8Cando be diligent in making sure the aircraft and pilot are current in all respects with current maintenance and medical documents. Pilots will be required to provide Avi8Cando Operations with the following up-to date documents:

A. Aircraft insurance policy naming Avi8Cando as an additional insured.

B. FAA medical Certificate for authorized and insured pilots.

C. FAA log book entries with Biennial and other required Currency signatures.

D. Current Records required by the FAA to be in the airplane for Airworthiness.

E. Maintenance, 100 hour inspections, and annual certificates.

F. Weight and Balance records for the aircraft being flown.

We know this to be an inconvenience in time and possibly money, but the Board of Directors wants to fully resume the monthly Falcon’s flying experience and prevent unwanted liability to come back on any one on the Board of Directors, the pilots, volunteers or the passengers. We will require parental or guardian signatures for each Falcon. We intend on having timely signatures to remind the parent’s of their liability release, quarterly, for the Falcon’s flying experiences with Avi8Cando and the volunteer pilots, aircraft, transportation and organization volunteers.

We invite your participation in this worthy program. Let’s get the youth introduced to aviation in as many ways as possible. Flights will be on the second Saturday of each month, weather permitting, from 100- 1230 hrs.

Sincerely,

George A. Jutila, M.D.

V. President Avi8Cando
